MICHAEL CAROLAN CAUGHT IN STRATFORD-UPON-AVON IN DISTURBING ONLINE PREDATION SCHEME
On the evening of January 31, 2025, authorities in Stratford-upon-Avon successfully apprehended Michael Carolan, a man identified as an online predator engaged in illicit activities targeting minors.The arrest followed an extensive online sting operation conducted by a specialized team dedicated to combating internet-based crimes against children.
During the operation, Carolan was actively communicating with what he believed to be a 12-year-old girl.
In reality, the conversation was monitored and recorded by law enforcement officials, revealing a series of deeply disturbing and sexually explicit exchanges.
Carolan's messages included inappropriate requests, such as asking the young girl to make space in her bed for him, a request that underscores the predatory nature of his intentions.
Further into the conversation, Carolan suggested engaging in a game of “Truth or Dare,” a common childhood game, but his motives were clearly malicious.
He also made inappropriate comments about keeping the girl “definitely” warm, despite her being only 13 years old, which raised serious concerns about his intentions and understanding of boundaries.
Law enforcement officers responded swiftly to the evidence gathered during the sting, arresting Carolan on the very night he was caught.
