Billingham Domestic Abuser
A man has been sentenced to 21 months in prison and issued an indefinite restraining order after being sentenced for domestic abuse offences this week.
Michael Baker, 41, from Billingham, was remanded in custody after an incident in March of this year where he assaulted his ex-partner and smashed up two televisions.
Baker went to an address where he kicked the door to get in, then assaulted a woman by stamping on her head repeatedly and bit her on the nose, before smashing up a television in the living room and then another in the bedroom.
He was charged with ABH and criminal damage and remanded into custody. He remained in custody until sentencing at Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday 5th December, where he received a 21-month custodial sentence, an indefinite restraining order and he was ordered to pay £187 to the courts.
