LEICESTER MAN MICHAEL BAKER SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES IN LEICESTER AND SOUTH KNIGHTON
In a serious case that has shocked the local community, Michael Baker, a 70-year-old resident of Leicester, has been handed a prison sentence of two years after admitting to the production and possession of numerous indecent images of children.The court proceedings revealed the extent of Baker's offenses, which spanned several years and involved a significant number of illicit images.
According to court records, Baker, who resides on Holbrook Road in Leicester, pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images.
Specifically, he admitted to making 58 images classified as Category A, which are considered the most severe due to their explicit nature.
In addition, he confessed to producing 193 images categorized as Category B, and a staggering 1,092 images falling under Category C, all before April 2014.
Beyond these, Baker also acknowledged possessing a total of 2,691 prohibited images, which are images that violate laws concerning the depiction of minors in explicit material.
The investigation into Baker's activities has been ongoing, and authorities have indicated that there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward.

Earlier in May 2016, Baker appeared at Leicester Crown Court, where he admitted to possessing indecent images of children.
During this hearing, he confirmed that he had made more than 1,000 such images, including 58 in the most serious category.
