On January 25, the victim was walking home along Balham Hill when she noticed Ronaldson leering at her.
Concerned by his behavior, she confronted him directly.
Instead of backing off, Ronaldson responded aggressively by following her and shouting abusive language.
The situation escalated further when he made explicit threats, stating that he intended to break into her home and carry out a rape.
This aggressive encounter left the woman feeling alarmed and distressed, prompting her to seek help from authorities.
Less than a month later, on February 12, Ronaldson was involved in a similar incident.
Witnesses or members of the public observed him approaching the same woman, but this time, he was deterred by the intervention of bystanders who managed to ward him off.
Despite this, Ronaldson's persistent behavior did not cease.
The third and most significant encounter occurred on February 21.
During this incident, the woman managed to record Ronaldson on her mobile phone, capturing his face and actions.
She then handed the footage over to the police, providing crucial evidence of his repeated harassment and threatening conduct.
The police responded swiftly, arresting Ronaldson and charging him with offences related to threatening behavior that was likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress, as well as harassment without violence.
At Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, Ronaldson admitted to both charges.
His guilty plea led to a sentencing of six weeks in jail, a decision that underscores the seriousness with which the justice system treats such conduct.
