Leicester Child Sexual Abuser
In September 2016, a disturbing case emerged involving a man named Matt Underwood, who was found guilty of committing a series of sexual offences against a teenage girl in Leicester. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and raised serious concerns about the safety of minors in the area.

Matt Underwood, aged 37 and residing on Saunderson Road in the Stocking Farm neighborhood of Leicester, faced the court to answer for his actions. The Leicester Crown Court sentenced him to a prison term of three years after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possessing indecent images of a child and inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity.

The court proceedings revealed that Underwood, who was working as a DJ at the time, had met the 15-year-old girl in a Leicester pub. Despite being aware of her age, he continued to pursue contact with her and encouraged her to participate in sexual activities. The offences took place over a period from July to November of the previous year, during which Underwood's inappropriate conduct persisted.

Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Sada Bains, a member of Leicester's Child Sexual Exploitation team, issued a warning that there could be additional victims linked to Underwood. She emphasized the troubling nature of his persistence in maintaining contact with the girl, despite knowing her true age. Her comments underscore the importance of vigilance and the need for ongoing investigations to uncover any further exploitation.

Authorities continue to urge the community to report any suspicious activity and to remain alert to protect vulnerable young individuals from predators like Matt Underwood.
