STOKE CHILD RAPIST MARTYN FROST SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS FOR ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

In a harrowing case that has shocked the community of Stoke, Martyn Frost, a 48-year-old man, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of multiple heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of young girls and possession of indecent images of children.

Frost was found guilty of raping a young girl and coercing another girl into performing a sexual act on him. The court heard that the assault on the first girl occurred in a moment of vulnerability, and the incident was interrupted when the girls were disturbed, prompting Frost to hastily order the young victim to get dressed and leave the scene.

The court proceedings revealed the profound psychological impact Frost’s actions have had on the victims. One of the girls has reportedly struggled so severely that she has attempted to take her own life, highlighting the devastating effects of his crimes.

Described by the judge as a 'depraved' and 'dangerous' individual, Frost was handed an extended sentence of 25 years in total, comprising 17 years of imprisonment followed by an extended license period of eight years. The severity of the sentence reflects the court’s view of the gravity of his offenses and the ongoing threat he poses to society.

Authorities responded swiftly after reports of abuse emerged. Police officers attended Frost’s residence on London Road in Stoke, where they conducted a thorough search. During the investigation, they seized his laptop, which contained a disturbing collection of over 18,000 indecent images of children and approximately 1,500 videos depicting child abuse. Additionally, a significant quantity of small children’s underwear was discovered at his home, further evidencing his disturbing interests.

Frost pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including three counts of raping a child under the age of 13, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, four counts of making indecent images of children, and one count of possessing indecent images. As a result of his convictions, he has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and is now prohibited from engaging in any activities involving children or vulnerable adults.

Judge Paul Glenn delivered a stern verdict, condemning Frost’s actions and characterizing him as a 'depraved and dangerous man.' The judge emphasized Frost’s long-standing sexual interest in children and his willingness to act on these impulses. He stated, 'You are a depraved and dangerous man. Quite plainly, you have a long-standing and ongoing sexual interest in children and you were prepared to put that into action.'

The judge also highlighted the disturbing nature of the images Frost possessed, noting that they depicted real children being abused. Frost admitted to an addiction to such material, which he acted upon, further underscoring the severity of his crimes. The court concluded that Frost meets the criteria for a dangerous offender, and he is considered a significant risk to any child he might encounter in the future.
