GLASGOW MAN SENTENCED FOR ONLINE CHILD ABUSE THREATS
A 49-year-old man known as Martin Marshall from Possilpark has been convicted for sending offensive and menacing messages online.He believed he was communicating with a young girl's father, but he was actually speaking to an undercover police officer.
During their conversations, Marshall made disturbing comments, including references to sexually abusing a girl, and stated he liked children between the ages of five and 15.
He also expressed interest in shemales and mentioned enjoying seeing children crying while being abused.
Marshall discussed how he would like to abuse a child's 'daughter' and indicated he would join in such activities.
After the police uncovered these conversations through a search of his phone, he admitted to officers that he did not remember the chats.
He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to sending messages that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene, or menacing nature.
The court sentenced him to 180 hours of unpaid work and placed him under supervision for two years.
