In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community, Mark Woodley, a resident of Milton Keynes, faced the courts this week after being found guilty of possessing an extensive collection of child abuse images.The case unfolded at Aylesbury Crown Court, where Woodley, who was 39 years old at the time, appeared on his birthday to face serious allegations involving the possession of thousands of indecent images of children, some depicting the most heinous acts imaginable.
Woodley's arrest followed a voluntary admission to Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where he disclosed to medical staff that he was suffering from gender dysphoria.
This revelation led to police being contacted, and subsequent investigations uncovered a horrifying cache of images stored on his computer equipment.
The police raid at his residence in Milton Keynes revealed a staggering number of illegal images, including 97 classified as the most serious category of indecency, 74 in the second category, and an alarming 1,906 in the least serious category.
During the court proceedings, prosecutor Sandra Beck detailed the extent of Woodley's crimes, emphasizing the severity of the images involved.
