MARK WESTON FROM LLANWNEN SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES IN SWANSEA
In a case that has shocked the community of Llanwnnen, Mark Weston, a local resident, was sentenced to prison after being convicted of serious sexual offences involving a minor.The conviction was handed down at Swansea Crown Court, where the jury found Weston guilty of three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16.
Weston, who was 44 years old at the time of the verdict, was identified as the second individual to abuse the same young girl.
The court heard that in 2010, another man had already been sentenced for nearly identical offences committed against the same victim, highlighting a disturbing pattern of abuse.

The court was told that Weston’s actions demonstrated a clear breach of trust and a grave violation of the young girl’s innocence.
The judge sentenced Weston to five years in prison, with the stipulation that he must serve half of that sentence before being eligible for release.
Additionally, Weston, who is employed in the steel fabrication industry, was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to protect the community.
