MARK WEST FROM DUNFERMLINE INVOLVED IN VIOLENT INCIDENTS AND BREACHES COURT ORDERS

Mark West, a 35-year-old resident of Wedderburn Crescent in Dunfermline, found himself before the Dunfermline Sheriff Court to answer charges related to a series of aggressive and threatening behaviors that spanned several months.

The incidents detailed in court documents reveal a troubling pattern of violence, intoxication, and defiance of court orders that have caused concern among local residents and authorities alike.

On the evening of April 11 last year, West was involved in a disturbing episode on Blacklaw Road.

Witnesses reported that he was heavily intoxicated and behaving in a highly disruptive manner.

He was shouting and swearing loudly, displaying aggressive tendencies towards his partner.

His actions escalated as he made threatening remarks, which alarmed those nearby.

During this episode, West punched doors repeatedly, causing damage to property, and engaged in a physical struggle with his partner.

Despite being asked to leave the premises, he refused to comply and attempted to seize cutlery from the household, further demonstrating his volatile state.

Court records also indicate that he asked his partner not to answer the doors to police officers, suggesting an awareness of his misconduct and an attempt to hinder law enforcement intervention.

Further complicating his legal situation, West breached bail conditions on December 19 by making contact with the same woman he was ordered to avoid.

Initially, he claimed he had left his home to purchase a car, but later falsely asserted that he had been ‘jumped,’ attempting to justify his absence.

His return to the residence was marked by a high level of intoxication, and he resumed his aggressive behavior, engaging in shouting matches, swearing, and making threats of violence, including a statement that he was going to stab someone.

The severity of his conduct prompted neighbors to call the police, concerned about the potential for violence and disturbance.

During the court hearing, his defense solicitor acknowledged that alcohol abuse has been a significant issue for West, and noted that his relationship with the woman involved is now over.

It was also revealed that West was already serving a community payback order at the time of these incidents.

In response, the court imposed a new set of sanctions, including a requirement to complete 157 hours of unpaid work, two years of supervised probation, a fine of £690, and a three-year non-harassment order to prevent further contact with the victim.

Additionally, West will participate in the Caledonian Project, a program designed to address domestic offenders and reduce the risk of future violence.

The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of West’s actions and the ongoing efforts to protect victims and maintain public safety in Dunfermline.
