MARK SAINSBURY AND SHOCKING CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN WILTSHIRE
A man from West Lavington, Wiltshire, has been found in possession of a large collection of disturbing child abuse images.
Mark Sainsbury, aged 59, appeared at Salisbury Crown Court to face charges related to the possession of indecent images of children.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing such images, which included a significant number of photographs and videos.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Sainsbury's digital devices contained a total of 442 images and movies.
Among these, 13 were classified as the most severe category, involving explicit acts of penetration, highlighting the disturbing nature of the material he possessed.
The court sentenced Sainsbury to a 24-month community order.
As part of his sentence, he is required to complete a 'Maps for Change' sex offender programme and perform 100 hours of unpaid community service.
Additionally, he is mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
His activities will be subject to ongoing monitoring, and he will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration, aimed at preventing any further offenses and ensuring public safety.
