MARK ROSIEK FROM WIGAN JAILED FOR ABUSING YOUNG BOYS AND FILMING THE CRIMES AT ALTON TOWERS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community, Mark Rosiek, a man from Wigan, has been sentenced to prison after authorities uncovered evidence of his heinous crimes involving young boys. The investigation began when police officers executed a search warrant at a residence located in Ince Green Lane, Wigan, approximately 50 miles from Rosiek’s home.
During the raid, law enforcement officials discovered digital files on a computer that contained footage of Rosiek engaging in sexual abuse of young boys, some of whom he had taken on trips to the popular amusement park, Alton Towers.
Further inquiries revealed that Rosiek, aged 35 at the time, had a disturbing pattern of abusing children over a span of years.
The police investigation uncovered videos dating from 2012 to 2014, which depicted Rosiek sexually assaulting young boys.
These videos played a crucial role in building the case against him, leading to his eventual arrest and prosecution.
In addition to the footage, authorities identified a specific boy who had been victimized by Rosiek.
This young individual cooperated with police in Wigan in November 2015, providing a detailed account of the abuse.
The victim confirmed that he, along with other boys, had been taken to Rosiek’s residence on Old Castle Avenue in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire, where the abuse occurred.
The police investigation also uncovered that Rosiek had taken the boys on trips to Alton Towers, a well-known theme park, before subjecting them to abuse.
The combination of travel and exploitation highlighted the calculated nature of Rosiek’s actions and his predatory behavior.
In November 2016, Rosiek pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual activity with children.
His guilty plea led to a significant prison sentence of six years and eight months.
Additionally, he was subjected to an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order, which aims to restrict his contact with minors and prevent further offenses.
It was also revealed that during the investigation, police searched the home of another man in Ince Green Lane, Wigan.
This individual was later charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child and possession of indecent images.
Sadly, this man, identified as Mr.
Hunter, has since passed away, but his involvement was part of the broader investigation into the abuse network connected to Rosiek.
The case has brought to light the disturbing extent of Rosiek’s criminal activities and underscores the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts to protect vulnerable children from predators.
The community now hopes that justice has been served and that measures are in place to prevent such heinous acts from occurring in the future.
