MARK RICHMOND FROM ROSSINGTON SENTENCED FOR VILE SEXUAL ASSAULT ON SCHOOLGIRL IN DONCASTER

In a case that has shocked the local community of Doncaster, a man from Rossington has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison following a heinous sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl. The offender, identified as Mark Andrew Richmond, aged 27, residing on Whitcomb Drive in Rossington, pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in sexual activity with a minor during proceedings that culminated in his conviction.

The investigation into the incident was initiated in December after concerns were raised by the victim’s family, prompting authorities to launch a detailed probe into the matter. The case was handled by the Doncaster Child Abuse Investigation Team, which worked tirelessly to gather evidence and ensure justice was served.

Detective Constable David Whitehouse, a representative of the investigation team, expressed his commendation for the victim’s resilience throughout the process. He stated, “This has been a complex investigation and I commend the victim in this case for her strength throughout our inquiry.”
