MARK JACOBSON OF BOOTLE SENTENCED FOR MONSTROUS CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LIVERPOOL

In May 2021, Mark Jacobson, of Washington Parade, Bootle, was sentenced to 16 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple serious child sexual offences. The court heard that Jacobson committed acts that included two counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, and numerous additional charges such as sexual activity with a child, forcing a child to observe sexual acts, and engaging in sexual acts in the presence of a child. At Liverpool Crown Court, he was handed a 16-year sentence and was also subjected to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order (SHPO). Additionally, he received a restraining order and will be subject to sex offender notification requirements. Judge acknowledged the severity of his crimes, describing him as a 'dangerous' individual who inflicted significant harm on young victims.
