Kingsbridge Rapist
In a serious case heard in Kingsbridge, a man identified as Mark Andrew Bolam, aged 58 and residing in Kingston, faced the court to answer charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children. The court proceedings revealed that Bolam had engaged in illegal activities involving the production and storage of explicit material depicting minors in distressing and criminal circumstances.

According to court records, Bolam admitted to the offences committed over a period spanning from June 9, 2016, to May 23, 2018. During this time frame, he was found to have made a total of 142 indecent images classified as Category A, which is the most severe classification for such material. These images included both moving and still photographs, all depicting children in compromising and abusive situations, some involving acts of rape and torture.

The case was brought before Exeter Crown Court, where Bolam appeared to enter a guilty plea. The court scheduled his sentencing for February 6, 2019, at which point a decision on the appropriate punishment will be determined based on the severity of the offences and the evidence presented.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the distribution and creation of child exploitation material, and underscores the importance of judicial proceedings in addressing such heinous crimes. Bolam’s actions have been classified as highly serious, and the legal process continues to unfold as authorities seek justice for the victims involved.
