REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER MARK WILLIAMS WHO WAS SENTENCED TO JAIL AFTER TRAIN ATTACK, NOW WANTED BY POLICE
2025: Mark is currently wanted by WMP for failing to appear at court and for breaching a notification requirement as a registered sex offender. After boarding a train at Birmingham New Street, a woman aged 33 from Bristol observed that Williams was engaged in a heated argument, prompting her to take a seat at the far end of the carriage.
Shortly afterward, Williams, who is a registered sex offender, moved from his initial position to sit beside her.
Following some casual conversation, the discussion turned disturbing when he complimented her eyes and neck.
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, the woman grew more frightened as he began speaking about strangulation and used language associated with severe sexual violence.
As the train neared Bristol Parkway, Williams touched her collarbone and then placed his hands around her neck.
This incident resulted in his arrest for breaching sexual offenses notification conditions and for sexual assault.
On October 7, Williams, residing on Gough Street in Willenhall, pleaded guilty in Bristol Magistrates' Court to the charge of sexual assault through inappropriate touching.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £115 in compensation to the victim.
Detective Inspector Jaci Thomas of the British Transport Police commented that the woman endured a highly traumatic ordeal and was initially hesitant to report it, owing to fear of reliving the event in court.
Authorities also noted Williams’s unsettling conduct on the train and emphasized his ongoing threat to public safety, especially to women.
The sentence underscores the court’s view of the gravity of his conduct.
