MARCIN SZWED FROM KINGSWOOD SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON UNDERAGE GIRL

In October 2021, a disturbing case emerged from Kingswood involving a man named Marcin Szwed, who was found guilty of heinous sexual offenses against a young girl under the age of 13. Szwed, a 43-year-old resident of Crates Close in Kingswood, was initially perceived by many as an upstanding member of the community and a dedicated worker. Her words reflected a mixture of pain and relief, as she expressed her hope that her justice would enable her to move forward. “I was overcome with emotion,” she said. “I was crying happy tears of joy that I had got justice and had finally been believed by people. A sense of closure came over me and I hope his prison sentence will enable me to move forward and become a better and stronger person. The jury listened to me, the jury believed me, and the jury supported me.”
