MARC JUCKIEWICZ'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN PETERBOROUGH: DANGEROUS PAEDOPHILE SENTENCED TO 9 MORE YEARS

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Peterborough, Marc Juckiewicz, a man with a long history of sexual offenses, has been sentenced to an additional nine years in prison following new allegations of abuse involving a young girl from the area.

Juckiewicz, aged 44, was initially incarcerated in 2008 after pleading guilty to the heinous crime of raping a young girl in Peterborough, resulting in a 10-year prison sentence. While serving his sentence, another victim, a young girl, came forward with allegations of abuse that had taken place between February 2007 and May 2008. This victim confided in her schoolteacher about her experiences, revealing that Juckiewicz had groomed her over a period of time before attempting to carry out a sexual assault. It was only after three years that she found the courage to contact the police, a decision that ultimately led to further legal action against Juckiewicz.

Following her disclosure, law enforcement authorities launched a thorough investigation. The young girl provided compelling evidence during the trial at Peterborough Crown Court, where she testified against Juckiewicz. The jury found him guilty of five charges of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of attempted rape. The court heard how Juckiewicz had manipulated and groomed the victim, attempting to exploit her at a vulnerable age.

Detective Constable Lisa Winterburn, who led the investigation, praised the bravery of the young girl for coming forward and providing unwavering testimony. She stated, “The victim showed great bravery in not only coming forward in the first place but also in giving such unwavering evidence in court. Thanks to her courage, a very dangerous man faces a substantial amount of time behind bars.”

These new allegations came to light last year after the girl disclosed her experiences to a teacher at her school and agreed to cooperate with police. The authorities expressed uncertainty as to why the victim had not previously spoken out about the abuse, but they emphasized the importance of her courage in seeking justice.

Following the conviction, police officers visited Juckiewicz in prison to question him about the new charges. In January, Juckiewicz was found guilty of five counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of attempted rape.

On Tuesday, the court sentenced Juckiewicz to an additional nine years in prison, with the sentence to run concurrently from that date.
