Crawley Eastbourne Sexual Abuser
In July 2014, Maqsood Ali, a 37-year-old man with no fixed address but with connections to Crawley, was sentenced for incidents on Eastbourne's seafront. Ali appeared before Brighton magistrates two days after the offences, during which he exposed himself to two girls aged 14 and 15, and sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl.

He received a combined sentence of 20 weeks in jail for both incidents, to be served consecutively. Detective Constable Tod Stewart commented on the swift law enforcement response, stating: "Officers acted quickly and arrested him within hours of the offences. He has been rapidly brought to justice."
