December 2019 Paedophile jailed for directing online sexual abuse streams of children as young as four A paedophile who directed online sexual abuse live streams of children in the Philippines as young as four has been jailed. Malcolm Tayler, from Cheshire, was sentenced to 19 years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to a string of child sex offences. Police raided the 65-year-old’s home in Congleton in February last year after receiving reports that he was involved in streaming illegal videos. Officers found a total of 162 indecent images of children and 31 extreme pornographic images on two laptops that Tayler owned, and found that he had distributed 12 indecent images of children via Skype. Further investigations revealed that Tayler paid for at least 15 live streams of children engaging in sexual acts in the Philippines between May 2014 and August 2017. Officers also discovered that, as well as watching the streams, he directed them by telling the abusers what he wanted the child victims to do. Tayler had made visits to the Philippines and Thailand during the same period. When he was interviewed by officers he admitted watching the streams and confessed to knowing the victims were children, some of whom were as young as four-years-old. He pleaded guilty to a total of 21 charges which included 15 counts of facilitating the commission of child sex offences, three counts of downloading indecent images, two counts of possession of prohibited images of a child and possession of 31 extreme pornographic images. Tayler was jailed for 19 and a half years, and given a further four years on licence, during a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday (December 13).
