MALCOLM LAMONT SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES IN MOTHERWELL AND LIVINGSTON

A man identified as Malcolm Lamont, aged 34, has been handed a seven-year prison sentence after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offences involving two young girls in the town of Motherwell. The conviction follows a lengthy investigation and trial at the High Court in Livingston, where Lamont faced charges related to a pattern of disturbing and predatory behavior spanning several years.

Lamont, originally from Denny near Falkirk, was accused of targeting children in Motherwell, engaging in acts that included exposing them to pornography, indecent conduct, sexual assault, and rape. Despite maintaining his innocence during the trial, he was found guilty of six separate offences.
