A disturbing case unfolded involving a 77-year-old man from Staffordshire, Malcolm Allwood, who traveled over two hours from his residence in Burton-on-Trent to Leeds with the intent of meeting a young girl he believed was only 13 years old.The entire incident was orchestrated by a vigilant paedophile hunter group, who had set up a decoy profile to catch predators like Allwood in the act.
For several months, Allwood engaged in online grooming, communicating with what he thought was a teenage girl.
During these exchanges, he expressed his desire to take her to his caravan and also to his home, revealing a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.
The conversations began in December 2022, when he contacted the fake profile, which was operated by the hunter group.
The supposed girl told him she was just 13, a detail that did not deter him.
Throughout the months, Allwood persistently bombarded the profile with messages, complimenting her appearance and expressing affection.
