A South Norwood man has been found guilty of rape and causing actual bodily harm, following an eight-day trial at Guildford Crown Court. Luke Sewell, aged 30, of Westgate Road, was arrested on April 9 after his victim disclosed being subjected to rape and physical assault the previous day. He was found guilty on October 17 and is scheduled to appear at Guildford Crown Court for sentencing on November 1. Surrey Police encourages anyone who has experienced sexual abuse or assault to report it. Dedicated officers will investigate with sensitivity and thoroughness.
