MAN JAILED FOR VIOLENT AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
A man has received a three-year prison sentence following convictions for both violent and sexual assaults.According to information presented at Lewes Crown Court, Luke Narine, residing on Church Road in Herstmonceux, committed multiple assaults on a woman over the course of August and September.
These attacks resulted in severe injuries to her face and other parts of her body.
The victim also disclosed that Narine had sexually assaulted her.
Following his arrest, Narine was charged with sexual assault, actual bodily harm (ABH), assault by beating, and criminal damage.
He admitted guilt to all four charges at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 6 and was held in custody.
During a subsequent court hearing at Lewes Crown Court, Narine was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
