Luke Jones Sexual Abuser in Stowmarket

A 30-year-old man from Stowmarket has received a custodial sentence of 40 months after confessing to nine separate offences committed against another individual.

Luke Jones, residing on Egret Drive, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday, June 4, for sentencing following his guilty pleas to several crimes, including two counts of voyeurism, non-fatal strangulation, stalking, threats to kill, assault by beating, intimidation, perverting the course of justice, threatening property damage, and more.

The police were called after Jones assaulted the victim during an argument, during which he punched him and threatened to pour bleach into a fish tank.

Jones then physically restrained the victim by placing his hands around his neck.

The victim informed officers that Jones had surveillance cameras around the premises, which recorded images and videos he did not consent to, including one that Jones shared with a neighbor.

Upon arrest, Jones admitted to officers that he owned a hidden camera and had installed cameras within his home under the guise of security equipment for monitoring pets.

Authorities inspected the devices, including cameras and a mobile phone, and found video footage showing the victim walking naked inside the house and going to the bathroom.

It was revealed that when the victim confronted Jones about some of the recordings and requested their deletion, Jones refused to comply.

While on bail, Jones was re-arrested after attempting to contact the victim multiple times through various channels, including persistent phone calls, leaving emotional voicemails, and contacting him on social media platforms.

Along with the prison sentence, Jones was issued a restraining order active until further notice and was ordered to register on the sex offender register.
