CORNWALL TEENAGER LUCAS WILSON SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CHATROOMS
In June 2021, a 17-year-old from Cornwall was exposed as the administrator of several child sexual abuse chatrooms, which had a membership of around 700.These online groups shared disturbing footage and conversations involving children being raped, tortured, and abused.
Lucas Wilson, who is now 19, expressed his desire to harm young girls known to him.
Residing in Landreath Place, St Blazey, Wilson appeared before Truro Crown Court to be sentenced after pleading guilty to three counts of possession of indecent images of children and three counts of distribution.
Prosecutor Herc Ashworth detailed how an undercover officer, operating under the alias Adrian, infiltrated a group on the messaging app Kik Messenger that appeared to be centered around child abuse imagery.
Adrian observed Wilson openly stating his intent to abuse children, specifically mentioning two children he knew personally.
Wilson communicated with Adrian, requesting pictures of Adrian’s 10-year-old daughter.
He also revealed that he was the administrator of four or five groups related to child abuse material.
He made chilling comments about his preferences, stating he wanted to find girls aged between five and 13, but that “birth and beyond was fine.” Wilson then went on to describe in graphic terms what he wanted to do to Adrian’s daughter.
Mr.
Ashworth explained that Wilson had supplied the group with Dropbox links and other file-sharing links containing child abuse images, which included footage of approximately 200 children, many of whom appeared to be in pain.
Wilson further established various chat rooms across different online platforms, with the total number of members reaching 742.
He also shared an image of a clothed girl known to him, claiming he was “working his way up to abusing her,” and expressing his desire to have a daughter he could abuse from birth, admitting that finding a willing partner would be challenging.
Police eventually raided Wilson’s home, confiscating devices that contained hundreds of inaccessible child abuse images.
As part of his sentence, Wilson received a 36-month community order.
He is required to complete a rehabilitation activity and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
