WICKFORD POLICE OFFICER LUCAS BEACH CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND BESTIALITY VIDEOS

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Wickford, Essex, a serving Metropolitan Police officer named Lucas Beach has been implicated in possessing a large collection of illegal and highly disturbing images and videos. The allegations first came to light during police investigations in October, when authorities raided Beach’s residence on Park Drive in Wickford. During the search, officers uncovered a significant number of illicit materials, including 33 prohibited images of children, specifically cartoons and CGI representations, as well as 73 videos depicting bestiality. Among these files was a folder explicitly labeled “incest stories,” which contained some of the most disturbing content, with no apparent attempt by Beach to conceal or disguise the material.

Beach, aged 32 at the time of the arrest, was taken into custody and subsequently appeared before Basildon Magistrates’ Court to face charges. He admitted to possessing child sexual abuse images and videos involving animals, as well as indecent photographs of a young girl wearing a bikini. During the court proceedings, the prosecution, led by Malcolm Bravery, detailed the extent of the evidence, including a computer tower that held 33 images of a girl and thousands of prohibited images, many of which were cartoons or CGI representations. The evidence also included 73 videos depicting acts of bestiality, which are considered among the most serious forms of animal abuse.

Beach, dressed in a grey suit and tie, confirmed his identity and pleaded guilty to the charges. The court was informed that many of the cartoon images would be classified as Category A if they involved real children, due to the nature of the acts depicted. Others fell into Category C, representing girls aged between 12 and 14. Magistrates acknowledged the severity of the material and the fact that Beach had admitted guilt, but decided that the case should be transferred to Basildon Crown Court for sentencing.

In a separate but related incident in July 2017, Beach was also accused of attempting to shift blame onto his ex-girlfriend for possessing similar illegal images. Court records reveal that Beach, of Park Drive, Wickford, claimed that his former partner was responsible for the illicit content found on his devices. He told Essex Police officers that she, who lived in Basildon, was the likely culprit, and provided the names of five friends who frequently visited his home. However, the woman denied the allegations, stating she was “upset” by the accusations and explaining that she had only helped Beach with his police application after meeting him at work.

Further investigation revealed that some of the images were stored in a folder labeled “incest stories,” and there was no effort to hide or disguise these files. Beach also claimed that he allowed anyone in his contacts list to access his Wi-Fi, and that he had recently downloaded various “graphic novels,” although he admitted not having viewed all of them. The court heard that Beach, aged 33 at the time, had been a police officer in Romford for four years when these incidents occurred.

As a result of these findings, Beach was sentenced to a 36-month community order, which includes mandatory participation in an internet sex offender treatment program. Additionally, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for five years, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities moving forward. The case has raised serious concerns about the conduct of law enforcement officers and the importance of rigorous background checks and oversight within police ranks, especially in light of the disturbing nature of the crimes committed by Lucas Beach in Wickford.
