OWNER OF LOCKERBIE SPANIELS BANNED DUE TO MALNOURISHED SPANIELS
A sheriff has barred a lady from owning dogs for ten years after Scottish SPCA officials discovered her three springer spaniels malnourished.The three underweight dogs were discovered at Lorna Mawson's Lockerbie residence, exposing their pelvis and ribs.
The veterinarians came to the conclusion that the dogs had been malnourished for roughly three months.
Mawson, 31, acknowledged that throughout the two months leading up to November of last year, he caused the dogs needless suffering.
One dog weighed 11.9 kg when it should have weighed between 16 and 18 kg, according to fiscal depute Jennifer McGill, who testified in Dumfries Sheriff Court.
