Buxton Child Sexual Abuser
A man accused of slapping, kicking, and sexually assaulting a young boy has been brought to justice. Police authorities state that Liam Tyrrell, aged 29, repeatedly targeted his victim. The heinous crimes came to light after the young boy bravely disclosed the abuse to family members. The court proceedings revealed that Tyrrell engaged in multiple sexual assaults against the boy, in addition to physically abusing him through slaps and kicks. Furthermore, Tyrrell also physically assaulted two other children. Tyrrell, who resides at St James Court, Buxton, but was previously based in Glossop, was arrested by police. He faced multiple charges, including two counts of sexual assault, three counts of cruelty to a person under 16, and one count of controlling and coercive behavior. Initially denying the charges, Tyrrell later admitted to the offenses on the day of his trial at Minshull Street Crown Court. His sentencing occurred at Bolton Crown Court on November 7, where he was sentenced to two years and nine months of imprisonment. In addition to his imprisonment, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting ten years, was ordered to sign the sex offenders register, and was also given a restraining order. This case highlights the importance of bravery in victims coming forward and the legal system's role in holding offenders accountable.
