LIAM GORE SENTENCED IN BOLTON FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES INVOLVING FARNWORTH GIRLS
In a significant case that has shocked the local community, Liam Gore, a 20-year-old man from Hazel Grove, Farnworth, has been sentenced to serve four years and four months in prison at Bolton Crown Court for a series of disturbing child sex offences. The court's decision also included an additional conviction related to an unrelated incident of affray that occurred in August 2010.Gore's criminal record is marked by heinous acts involving minors, as he pleaded guilty to charges of raping a 12-year-old girl and engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl during an earlier hearing. The court heard that Gore's offending spanned over a two-year period, with the earliest incident dating back to August 2007, when he had sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl. This girl later confided in her mother, which prompted social services and police to become involved in the case.
The situation escalated in August 2009, when Gore engaged in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl after spending the afternoon drinking alcohol together. The girl’s mother discovered what had transpired and promptly contacted the police, leading to Gore’s arrest within a few days of the incident. The court was informed that Gore’s actions had caused significant distress to the victims and their families.
In addition to the primary charges, Gore was also ordered to sign the Sex Offender’s Register for life, a measure that underscores the severity of his crimes and the potential risk he poses to the community. Det Cons Stuart Round, who is part of Bolton CID, commented on the case, stating, “This has been a long and difficult process for both families and hopefully they can now begin to put this behind them.”
The sentencing marks a somber chapter in the ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors in the Bolton and Farnworth areas, highlighting the importance of vigilance and swift justice in cases of sexual abuse involving minors.
