MAN SENTENCED FOR CHILD RAPE
A man from Folkestone, identified as Leslie Iles, 61, was sentenced to 11 years in prison after being convicted of raping a child during the period from 2008 to 2009.He was without a fixed residence at the time of his arrest.
In March 2017, Iles was detained by authorities following a report from the victim to Kent Police.
The trial at Canterbury Crown Court concluded on March 27, where he was convicted of both rape and sexual assault.
His formal sentence was handed down on Wednesday, May 9.
