ESSEX MAN TO BE SENTENCED AFTER ADMITTING SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN AVELEY AND GRAYS
A man from Essex is scheduled to be sentenced next month after admitting to multiple sexual assaults.Leonard Scamp, aged 33 and residing on Love Lane in Aveley, was taken into custody following incidents on Aveley High Street and Dacre Crescent in Aveley on December 6, 2021, as well as in Goldsmith, Grays, the next day.
He faced three charges of sexual assault and pleaded guilty to these offenses at Basildon Crown Court on Tuesday, March 1.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 4, 2022, at the same court, according to Essex Police.
PC Fred Theobald, of Grays CID, stated: "No woman should have to worry about their safety during their everyday activities." "Leonard Scamp has confessed to committing three attacks over just two days.
He now faces the possibility of imprisonment for the foreseeable future, making Thurrock a safer community."
