A 34-year-old man has been convicted and sentenced at Swansea Crown Court for taking a teenage girl to a caravan and assaulting her.
Leon Kidner accompanied the 15-year-old girl to a caravan located in Pendine, Carmarthenshire, where he gave her alcohol and cannabis.
He then asked her for sex; she refused, but after she fell asleep, he proceeded to rape her.
He faced three charges, which he denied, but after hearing all the evidence, the jury found him guilty on all counts.

He manipulated his authority over the girl to intoxicate her, increasing her vulnerability to the assault.
The CPS presented compelling evidence that led the jury to convict, countering Kidner’s claims of consensual acts.
The girl demonstrated great bravery in reporting the crimes and supporting the prosecution.
