LEON JUSTIN PEGG FROM TAMWORTH SENTENCED TO 29 YEARS IN PRISON FOR SEX OFFENCES

A resident of Tamworth, Staffordshire, Leon Justin Pegg, aged 47, has been sentenced to a total of 29 years in prison after being convicted of multiple sexual offences.
Pegg was found guilty of 24 sexual crimes, including an 11-year sentence for a count of rape. He also received eight-year sentences for two counts of attempted rape. In addition, Pegg was convicted of producing and distributing indecent photographs of a child.
The sentencing took place at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, where Pegg was also ordered to be on the sex offenders register for life.
The convictions followed an investigation by Staffordshire Police, prompted by allegations made in 2018.
