LENFORD WHITE AND MIQUL DIOZZI SENTENCED IN MANCHESTER FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Manchester, two men have been convicted and sentenced for heinous crimes involving the sexual exploitation of a minor.The incident, which took place primarily in the Gorton area, involved a teenage girl who was manipulated, drugged, and coerced into sexual acts by her abusers.
Lenford Lloyd White, a man aged 64 at the time of sentencing, was handed a ten-year prison term after being found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child.
The court heard that White was introduced to the young girl by his accomplice, Miquil Lucas Diozzi, during a drug deal.
The abuse began when White, who was 55 years old at the time, forced the girl to engage in sexual acts with him and others at a flat located in Gorton, Manchester.
The court proceedings revealed that both White and Diozzi systematically supplied the victim with alcohol and drugs, effectively rendering her vulnerable and unable to resist their advances.
The abuse persisted until the girl, who is now an adult, decided to move away from the area, ending her ordeal.
It was only in May 2017 that she reported the abuse to the police, prompting investigations that led to their arrests.
Following their apprehension, both men initially pleaded not guilty, forcing the victim to relive her traumatic experiences during the court proceedings.
In December 2018, White was convicted at Manchester Crown Court of three counts of sexual activity with a child.
He was subsequently sentenced to a decade behind bars and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
Miquil Lucas Diozzi, aged 29 and residing on Thorncliffe Grove in Longsight, was also convicted of eight counts of sexual activity with a child.
His sentencing followed a guilty verdict, and he received the same prison term as White.
Diozzi’s actions, which included manipulation and exploitation of the underage girl, have been described as deeply disturbing by the authorities.
White’s health deteriorated while incarcerated, and he was reported to have spent several months in hospital in Manchester before passing away on March 19, 2020.
His death marked the end of a tragic chapter in this case, which continues to serve as a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable minors and ensuring justice is served in cases of sexual abuse.
