SHREWSBURY MAN LEE PRITCHARD ADMITS CHILD ABUSE IMAGE CHARGES IN COURT
In a serious legal development in Shrewsbury, a 47-year-old man named Lee Pritchard appeared before the town’s crown court to admit to charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children.The proceedings took place recently, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address such grave offenses.
Lee Pritchard, whose residence is listed as Woodlands Avenue in Hanwood, faced multiple charges concerning the production of indecent photographs.
During the court session, he pleaded guilty to five separate counts of making indecent images, which included both still photographs and moving images.
These charges spanned a period from November 2010 to November 2015, indicating a prolonged period during which these illegal activities took place.
The court was informed that the total number of images involved in the case was 251, with 11 of these classified as Category A, denoting the most severe level of indecency and criminality.
In addition to these charges, Pritchard also admitted to a sixth count involving the possession of an extreme pornographic image that depicted bestiality, a crime that underscores the disturbing nature of the case.
Judge Peter Barrie presided over the hearing and decided to adjourn the case to allow the probation service to prepare a pre-sentence report.
This report will help determine the appropriate sentencing for Pritchard, who was granted bail and is scheduled to return to court in the week commencing April 10.
