PAYBACK FOR CLYDEBANK DOMESTIC ABUSER

AN habitual Clydebank criminal who terrorised his ex has been ordered to stay away from her for three years.

Kyle McCreadie, 23, admitted in December domestic violence against the woman as well as acting in a threatening or abusive manner during the incident on December 12 last year at a house in Silverhills, Rosneath.

Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard last month how McCreadie was shouting and swearing and made threats of violence.

McCreadie, previously of Peel View, North Drumry, and now of Faifley, also acted in an aggressive manner and put his partner into a state of fear and alarm, and also repeatedly phoned her and made threats of violence towards both her and her mother.

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry admitted he had “lost track of the number of times” McCreadie appeared before him, including for repeatedly breaching court orders.

But on February 6 he gave him another chance.

Sheriff Hendry said: “You keep appearing in court and you keep committing criminal offences.

I’m giving you the chance, whether deserved or not.

I’m giving you the chance that living like that is not something you want to continue.” The court imposed a non-harassment order to protect McCreadie’s victim for the next three years.

McCreadie will also be under the supervision of social workers for two years and must take part in the Pair programme to curb his abusive behaviour.

He will also have to do 175 hours of unpaid work in the community within nine months.
