KYLE GARNER SENTENCED IN CHESTER FOR CHILD INDECENCY OFFENSES AND ONLINE SEXUAL PREDATION IN CHESHIRE
Kyle Garner, aged 21, appeared before Chester Crown Court last week on May 26 to face a series of serious charges related to the exploitation and abuse of minors.The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of criminal behavior involving the possession and distribution of indecent images of children, as well as attempts to encourage sexual crimes against minors.
Garner, who resides on Chester Road in Preston Brook, was already under a suspended sentence and subject to a sexual harm prevention order at the time of his latest offenses, which explicitly prohibited him from making contact with children.
Prosecutor Chris Hopkins detailed the gravity of Garner’s offenses, noting that he had previously been convicted for posting indecent images of children, for which he received a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years.
Despite this, Garner continued his illicit activities, amassing a total of 770 indecent images of children across multiple electronic devices.
Among these were 13 images classified as extreme pornography, highlighting the severity of his misconduct.
The court was also informed that Garner used an online application to communicate with minors.
He arranged for a 14-year-old girl to send him nude photographs, and he also attempted to meet her in person for sexual activity, although this meeting did not materialize.
These actions underscore his ongoing predatory behavior and blatant disregard for legal restrictions.
One of the most disturbing charges involved Garner’s attempt to coerce a 14-year-old online user into facilitating the rape of their eight-year-old cousin.
During conversations with the minor, Garner engaged in explicit sexual discussions, expressing a desire to have a sexual slave between the ages of ten and fourteen.
When the minor revealed that their young cousin was present in the room, Garner shockingly instructed the minor to have their cousin raped for his gratification.
Prosecutor Hopkins clarified that there was no evidence to suggest that this heinous request was carried out, but the very nature of the communication was enough to warrant serious concern.
Further investigations uncovered another disturbing incident where Garner, posing as a 15-year-old, engaged in sexual conversations with a 14-year-old.
During this exchange, he requested explicit photographs and briefly arranged to meet for sexual activity, demonstrating a pattern of predatory online behavior.
Garner’s defense attorney, Myles Wilson, described his client as a socially isolated individual who spends much of his life online.
Wilson also mentioned that Garner had been bullied during his school years and has a history of self-harm, which he attributed to the death of Garner’s mother when he was just eight years old.
Ultimately, the court sentenced Garner to five years in prison, with a minimum of three years to be served behind bars.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community in Cheshire.
