MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE OF MAN IN SOUTH MANCHESTER
A 28-year-old man has been formally accused of raping a man in Fallowfield, located in the southern part of Manchester.Authorities responded to reports of an intruder at a residence on Furness Road around 3:13 am on Thursday, 25 June.
In addition to the charge of rape, Kyle Barrow, who resides on Russell Avenue in Whalley Range, faces allegations of attempted rape, grievous bodily harm, and aggravated burglary.
Barrow has been placed in custody and is set to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on Saturday, 27 June.
A representative from Greater Manchester Police stated, "Specialist officers are providing support to the male victim, as well as their family and friends, during this difficult time.
This was an isolated incident and does not pose a broader threat to the community.
We will maintain a visible police presence in the area, and we encourage residents to speak with officers if they have concerns."
