A man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for abducting and sexually abusing a teenage girl. The offender, Kyeran Taylor, aged 39 and residing in Keynsham in Somerset, carried out serious offences which included taking the victim to London in his lorry. He admitted to multiple sexual offences against a child and was found guilty of two additional counts of sexual activity with a child after a trial at Bristol Crown Court. In addition, Taylor pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a head-on collision in Chew Magna while under the influence of cocaine. The case highlighted manipulative grooming and sexual behavior, which deeply affected the victim's childhood and caused long-lasting repercussions, as stated by investigating officer Det Con Louise Pizey. Taylor was also issued a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order, with charges covering offences committed from September 2021 to April 2022, including sexual assault, sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual acts, child abduction, and communicating sexually with a child. The sentencing followed a conviction that aimed to send a strong message against the sexual exploitation of children and to encourage victims to come forward for support and justice.
