Dover Rapist
Two brothers have been sentenced for their involvement in the sexual abuse of a child in Dover. Kye Dunn, aged 23 at the time of sentencing, was found guilty of raping the young victim, who was in the early years of secondary school, in December 2017. During the court hearing, it was revealed that Dunn, who was 19 at the time of the offence, had provided the victim with cannabis and alcohol before taking them to his home in Westbury Road, where he committed the rape. Following this, he pushed the victim into another room where Robbie Dunn, who was then 17 and also living at the same address, sexually assaulted the victim while they were asleep. Both brothers pleaded guilty to their respective crimes and were sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on December 3. Kye Dunn was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison, while Robbie Dunn received a three-and-a-half-year custodial sentence. Investigating officer Helen Press commented that both brothers had taken advantage of a much younger child for their own sexual gratification, causing the victim a 'terrible ordeal' that will likely affect them for the rest of their life. She expressed hope that the prison sentences would bring some comfort to the victim and their family, and praised the victim for their bravery in speaking out.
