KURT ALEXANDER AND SHOCKING SEX OFFENDER REPEATEDLY BREACHES IN LANCASHIRE
A convicted sex offender named Kurt Alexander, who has a long history of sexual offences and has been repeatedly recalled to prison after his initial release, has once again been sentenced to jail time in Lancashire. His latest arrest and conviction highlight the ongoing concerns surrounding his behavior and the risks he poses to the community.
In April, during the school holiday period, authorities apprehended Alexander in the toilets of an Asda supermarket located in Keighley.
Witnesses reported that he was sweating heavily at the time, which raised suspicions among store staff and police officers.
During the incident, officers discovered that he was in possession of three pairs of girls’ underwear, which appeared to be of a young age, specifically between five and six years old.
The court proceedings revealed that Kurt Alexander, now 56 years old, had previously served an eight-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2011 on multiple charges related to sexual assault.
Despite his release, he was subject to strict conditions under a sexual offences prevention order.
However, he was frequently recalled to prison for breaching these conditions, including failing to adhere to notification requirements and violating the terms of his release.
His repeated breaches underscored the ongoing concerns about his potential to reoffend.
Alexander was ultimately released from prison in February of the same year, but just five days later, police found him engaging in concerning online searches on a mobile phone.
These searches were related to the sexual abuse of children and the topic of girls’ panties, indicating a troubling pattern of behavior.
Authorities also discovered that he had nappies and children’s underwear in his home, further fueling fears about his intentions.
On April 3rd at approximately 2:30 pm, Alexander’s offender manager responded to reports that he had been seen entering multiple shops in Keighley town centre.
During a routine check, officers located him in the men’s toilets at the Asda store.
He was visibly sweating and appeared anxious.
When questioned about his activities, he was asked to produce any devices he had with him.
He handed over an Alcatel mobile phone, but officers noticed another device in his top pocket, which turned out to be a Huawei smartphone.
He was immediately arrested for breaching his sexual offences prevention order and taken to the police station.
During the journey, Alexander expressed a desire to plead guilty to all charges, indicating a level of awareness of his misconduct.
Further searches uncovered a pair of girls’ knickers, believed to be for children aged five to six, in his pocket.
Additional pairs were found hidden inside a box of washing powder he carried.
Police also seized a micro-SD card from Alexander, which contained disturbing images of children.
The images included eight category C pictures depicting young girls between the ages of 12 and 14 dressed in bikinis.
Disturbingly, Alexander had zoomed into their genital areas in these images, which is indicative of the creation of indecent images.
Despite being interviewed by police and initially refusing to comment, he later pleaded guilty to the charges.
The court heard that Alexander has a significant criminal history, with two previous convictions and a total of 24 offences.
He admitted to breaching his sexual offences order twice, failing to comply with notification requirements, and making indecent images of children.
During the sentencing hearing, his legal representative, Kristian Cavanagh, acknowledged the severity of his crimes and recognized that Alexander had committed “abhorrent offences” and was aware of his wrongdoing.
The judge, Recorder Daniel Prowse, addressed Alexander directly, noting that he had been under police surveillance since his release and had been found in possession of nappies and children’s underwear.
The court also highlighted an incident where Alexander was caught in the children’s section of a library reading a book about child rape.
Furthermore, Alexander had been prescribed anti-libido medication but had stopped taking it.
The judge expressed concern over his frank admission of being attracted to children and his arousal from nappies and children’s underwear, which he described as deliberate breaches of his restrictions.
In light of his actions and history, Alexander was sentenced to two years in prison.
Additionally, he was subjected to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order, replacing his previous order with an indefinite restriction.
His release conditions now include strict monitoring to prevent further breaches, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the ongoing threat he poses to public safety in Lancashire.
