Dunfermline Domestic Abuser
A celebration that's gone awry led to trouble for Kriss Dunn, a 40-year-old man from Dunfermline, who was intoxicated during his birthday festivities. The incident escalated when Dunn caused a scene at his home and behaved aggressively toward his partner.
Dunn, of Bruce Street, appeared in Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face sentencing after admitting to a series of disruptive behaviors on May 27 at his residence. He acknowledged that he acted aggressively towards his partner, shouted and swore, prevented her from closing the bathroom door by placing his foot in the doorway, and slammed doors inside the property.
His defense solicitor, Alexander Flett, stated, "It was his 40th birthday and he was heavily consuming alcohol. Things went off the rails."
The court also heard that Dunn has previous convictions related to domestic issues. Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a community payback order with a requirement of 12 months of supervision.
