KIRK ROBERTS FROM LLANELLI PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD PICTURES AND EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY CASE

In a serious case that has shocked the community of Llanelli, Kirk Lee Roberts, aged 42, has admitted to multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images involving minors.

The charges stem from an investigation that uncovered his involvement in uploading and distributing computer-generated images that depict children in explicit scenarios.

Roberts pleaded guilty to five counts of making pseudo photographs of a child, which are images created entirely through computer graphics and do not involve real individuals.

Additionally, he admitted to possessing an extreme pornographic image featuring a woman and a horse, as well as distributing indecent pseudo photographs of a child.

One further charge involved the possession of a pseudo photograph of a child.

The case was brought before magistrates in Llanelli, where the Crown prosecutor Ellie Morgan provided details of the investigation.

She explained that the cyber crimes unit was alerted in November 2013 after images were uploaded from a computer located in Roberts' home.

Authorities responded swiftly, executing a warrant to search his premises.

During the process, Roberts, while being transported to Llanelli police station, reportedly told officers, “you need to look at the SD cards,” indicating his awareness of the evidence.

Officers seized three SD cards and Roberts’ laptop, which contained a total of six Category B images and 388 Category C images.

In interviews, Roberts claimed that the images were computer-generated and that no real children had been harmed in their creation.

He also provided details about the websites from which he downloaded the images, stating he believed the depicted individuals to be aged 15 or 16, although he acknowledged some appeared younger.

Roberts insisted that all images showed children wearing underwear and that he had created a forum to upload some of these images, but he maintained that he did not derive sexual gratification from them nor did he profit financially.

Further investigation revealed that Roberts had been lured to these images through pop-up advertisements while browsing legitimate sites, which led him to pay for the images using a credit card.

It is also noted that his partner, who also had access to the laptop, was unaware of the content stored on it.

Cookies found on his computer indicated searches for terms such as “teen models” and “women and animals,” suggesting an interest in specific types of content.

All the charges relate to offences committed between 2012 and 2013.

Roberts’ solicitor, Peter Rhys Jones, emphasized that the images were computer-generated, clarifying that no actual children were involved.

He explained that the term “pseudo” refers to images created digitally, not involving real people.

The magistrates have decided to adjourn the case to allow for a comprehensive report to be prepared, which will inform the sentencing process.

They have also not ruled out the possibility of referring the case to the Crown Court for a more severe sentence, given the serious nature of the offences involved.
