KIRAN SINGH FROM OXFORD JAILED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Oxford, Kiran Singh, a 29-year-old resident of St Luke's Road, was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of possessing and soliciting indecent images of children, as well as engaging in online activities that promoted child sexual abuse.Police executed a raid on Singh's residence in Cowley on June 15, 2017, uncovering a disturbing collection of illegal material on his electronic devices.
The investigation revealed that Singh had downloaded more than 100 depraved images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, some of which were classified as the most severe category of illegal content.
Among the material found were 36 images and videos categorized as Category A, indicating the most serious level of abuse, along with 27 in Category B and 73 in Category C.
Additionally, investigators discovered extreme pornography involving bestiality and a prohibited image of a child, highlighting the extent of Singh's involvement in illegal activities.
Further examination of Singh's digital communications uncovered a series of sordid chat histories with underage girls.
Singh had used platforms such as Kik Messenger and Skype to contact minors across various countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and several European nations.
Prosecutor Alexandra Bull detailed to the court that Singh had on at least two occasions offered to 'trade' images of children with others online.
One particularly disturbing case involved Singh befriending a 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, over Skype.
The girl reportedly sent Singh naked photographs of herself and images of her performing sexual acts.
Investigators also found that Singh had used search terms like 'sex with underage, what to do,' 'how to change your voice to a girl on Skype,' and 'brutal sex,' indicating a premeditated interest in illegal and violent sexual content involving minors.
The evidence suggested that Singh actively sought out and engaged in conversations with girls from different parts of the world, encouraging the exchange and distribution of child abuse images.
Judge Peter Ross, presiding over the case, emphasized the gravity of Singh's actions during sentencing.
He stated, 'Those who obtain these images play a part in the worldwide abuse of children.
This is a commercial operation.
They are subject to the most appalling sexual abuse and torture in order to provide sexual kicks for you and your fellow perverts.' Singh was ultimately sentenced to two years and three months in prison for his crimes, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation.
