KIM PAYNE SENTENCED IN HARROW FOR GROOMING AND SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING CHILD DECOYS

In March 2019, Kim Payne, a 55-year-old man from Harrow, was apprehended in a paedophile hunting operation after believing he was communicating with two underage girls online. Payne appeared in court and was convicted of attempting to meet a child following grooming and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, including penetration.

Payne, who worked for Royal Mail, had contacted online profiles he believed belonged to two 13-year-old girls. He exchanged numerous sexually explicit messages, explicitly expressing his desire for full sexual intercourse with the girls.

On January 3rd, 2019, Payne arranged to meet one of the girls in a park in Wembley, London. However, he was intercepted by members of two paedophile hunting teams, who explained that he had been communicating with their decoys and that he would soon be under arrest.

The primary operation was conducted by Scorpion Hunters UK, with assistance from a member of Justice For The Innocent.

The court sentenced Payne to 24 months in prison, suspended for two years. Additionally, he was issued a 10-year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and was ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years. To address his behavior, a 60-day rehabilitation program was also arranged to help him manage his perversion.
