Kiki Angelitos, born on February 22, 1970, and most recently residing in Gomer Gardens, Townhill, Swansea SA1 6QF, has become a fugitive after a series of disturbing discoveries at her property. It is believed that she may have returned to her native Greece, as of January 2019, she remains at large, evading law enforcement authorities.Angelitos was convicted in her absence on multiple charges related to animal cruelty. Specifically, she was found guilty of three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and three counts of failing to meet the welfare needs of animals. Despite her conviction, she failed to appear for her sentencing scheduled at the end of May 2018, prompting magistrates to issue a warrant for her arrest. Since then, efforts to locate her have continued without success, and a spokeswoman for South Wales Police confirmed that arrest inquiries are ongoing.
The conditions at Angelitos' residence in Gomer Gardens, Townhill, Swansea, were described as appalling. Authorities discovered a Malamute dog in a severely neglected state, along with several other animals suffering from poor health. During the investigation, a dead dog was found in the garden, decomposing for approximately two weeks, indicating prolonged neglect. The property was in such a state of squalor that it was described as filthy and uninhabitable.
Officers initially visited the property on October 6, 2017, after receiving reports concerning the welfare of the animals and the overall condition of the house. Upon arrival, they were met with an overwhelming stench of rubbish, and the floor was covered with trash bags, forcing officers to walk over the debris to access the premises. Inside, they found open bags of dog food and observed that the kitchen tap was running at full blast, with overflowing water mixing with the filth on the floor. The dogs at the property were drinking from this contaminated water, further highlighting the neglect.
During the first visit, officers encountered a room barricaded with a large animal crate, which was too dark to see inside clearly. However, they identified several animal cages and a dog within the confined space. A subsequent visit revealed more disturbing findings: in the overgrown garden, a dog crate was discovered buried in a hole, containing a carcass of a dog that had been decomposing for two weeks. This grisly discovery underscored the extent of the neglect and cruelty.
Inside the house, a Malamute was found in a critically poor condition, described as
