FLEETWOOD PAEDOPHILE KEVIN SUTCLIFFE SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF YOUNG GIRL

In a case that has shocked the community of Fleetwood, Kevin Sutcliffe, a man with a disturbing history of sexual offenses, was sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of raping a young girl. The incident, which involved multiple counts of abuse, has brought to light the disturbing actions of Sutcliffe, who was 56 years old at the time of sentencing.

Kevin Sutcliffe faced a total of 13 charges related to the sexual abuse of the young girl. He admitted to committing 12 of these offenses, which included a range of sexual assaults and the creation of indecent images of a child. However, he denied one particular charge of raping the girl, which led to a trial at Preston Crown Court. The jury, after careful deliberation, took just over two hours to reach a unanimous verdict of guilty on the rape charge, confirming the severity of his crimes.

Following his conviction, Judge Heather Lloyd sentenced Sutcliffe to 16 years in prison. In addition to the custodial sentence, the judge imposed a one-year extension on his license period, ensuring close supervision upon his release. Furthermore, Sutcliffe was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely, a measure designed to monitor his activities and prevent further harm.

In a move to protect vulnerable individuals, the court also issued a sexual harm prevention order against him. This order restricts his behavior and access to certain environments. Additionally, Sutcliffe was placed on the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) list, which effectively prevents him from working with children or vulnerable adults in any capacity. As a result of his criminal record, he is now barred from employment that involves contact with minors or at-risk populations.

It was revealed that Sutcliffe had previously admitted to two counts of sexual activity with a child, seven counts of sexual assault, and three counts of making indecent images of a child. Despite his earlier admissions, the recent trial and conviction underscore the gravity of his latest offenses and the ongoing threat he poses to the community of Fleetwood.
