Macclesfield Child Sexual Abuser
In a case that has shocked the community of Macclesfield, Kevin Terence Luxton, a 28-year-old resident of Buxton Road, was sentenced to a total of six years in prison for a series of disturbing sexual offenses involving underage girls. The sentencing took place at Knutsford Crown Court, where Judge Roger Dutton delivered a stern verdict, condemning Luxton as an "arrogant, opinionated young man displaying the most selfish sexual motives."

Luxton was convicted of multiple charges, including engaging in sexual activity with a minor, which resulted in a five-year prison term. Additionally, he received concurrent sentences of two years for indecent assault, 18 months for creating and possessing indecent images of children, and six months for voyeurism, which involved secretly filming girls without their consent. These convictions followed a jury trial last month, where Luxton had pleaded not guilty but was found guilty on all counts.

Further complicating his case, Luxton was also convicted of intimidating a witness who was scheduled to testify against him. For this offense, he was sentenced to an additional 12 months, to be served separately from his other sentences. During the sentencing, Judge Dutton emphasized the gravity of Luxton’s actions, stating, "You were an adult. You should have taken a responsible position. Young women need to be protected."

Following the verdict, the father of one of the victims expressed his relief and satisfaction with the outcome. He remarked, "We feel like we at last have closure – this has been around our necks so long. It has been devastating for my daughter."

As part of his punishment, Luxton was disqualified from working with children for five years and was placed on the sex offenders register. This means he is required to report his name, address, and any changes in circumstances to the police for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and whereabouts.
