KEVIN HART FROM LEATHERHEAD AND WEYMOUTH EXPOSED AS PAEDOPHILE AND FLEEING VANDALIZED HOME

In a disturbing revelation that has sent shockwaves through the local communities of Leatherhead and Weymouth, Kevin Hart, a well-known children's entertainer and magician, has been exposed as a convicted paedophile. Hart, who has recently been residing on Weston Road in Weymouth, was previously based in Leatherhead, Surrey, where he was actively involved in entertaining children at various events.

His past performances included appearances at prestigious venues such as London's Royal Festival Hall and participation in high-profile events like the Blue Peter 40th birthday celebration. Hart, under his stage name Billy Wand, was also engaged in the Government’s Sure Start scheme aimed at supporting children under five years old. His repertoire extended to Punch and Judy shows, and he had taken on roles such as Santa Claus at London's Park Lane Hilton, Fortnum & Mason, and even with the Thames Valley Police Association.

However, Hart’s seemingly innocent public persona was shattered when Surrey Police raided his home in Leatherhead after tracking him through his credit card details. During the raid, officers discovered indecent images of children stored on his computer. The 49-year-old was subsequently cautioned by police, a measure that resulted in a criminal record and his placement on the sex offenders register. Despite never being formally prosecuted in court, this caution signifies a serious criminal history related to child exploitation.

Following his arrest, Hart’s reputation was further tarnished when local residents, outraged by the revelations, took matters into their own hands. In April 2008, his home on Kingston Road was vandalized in a targeted attack by angry parents and community members. The house was subjected to rocks being thrown through windows, and the word “Paedo” was spray-painted in red across the front door and side walls, marking a community’s condemnation of his actions.

Throughout this period, Hart was a familiar face at various children’s events across Surrey, including performances at local fetes and community gatherings. Just a month prior to his arrest, he had performed his well-known Punch and Judy show at Wotton Village fete, demonstrating his active involvement in children’s entertainment.

The police’s investigation into Hart’s activities began in September 2007, when officers seized his computer after tracking him via his credit card. A police spokesperson confirmed that Hart was arrested on suspicion of making indecent images of children and was cautioned in October 2007, with a two-year placement on the sex offenders register. The authorities cited the number and nature of the images as justification for the caution, though they declined to specify details about the content.

While the police have not publicly commented on the recent attack on Hart’s home, they indicated that their Public Protection Risk Management Unit (PPRMU) is actively reviewing the case within the framework of Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). This involves collaboration with probation, prison, and other agencies to assess and manage the risks posed by registered sex offenders. The police emphasized that each case is subject to a comprehensive risk assessment, considering community safety and the views of local residents, but they refrained from discussing specific details of Hart’s case or the recent vandalism incident.
